Oranges

Hercules, in mythology, brought oranges from Libya in Mycenae, accomplishing one of the ten labors. Orange, high in antioxidants and fibre, has nearly 130% of the Vitamin C that body needs daily. Other vitamins and minerals found in this fruit are calcium, magnesium and potassium.

In Greece, oranges are one of the dominant products. The geographical conditions allow harvesting oranges from winter through summer, with seasonal variations, an ideal climate for making the fruit so plentiful and popular.

Supplier

Laconia is one of the citrus-growing areas of Greece and its oranges are popular for their excellent quality, original colour, aroma and taste. The peel of these oranges is moderately thick, fairly glossy and stuck firmly in the flesh. Our producers from Laconia provide high quality oranges,  ideal for fresh consumption and as a juice.
